THE TRUSSELL TRUST NEEDS YOUR HELP
We are now collecting items for the Somer Valley Food Bank. These are gathered from the three villages each week and taken over to the collection point at Midsomer Norton.
During the current situation you will appreciate that the need for the food bank is even greater. The aim for each parcel is to give sufficient food for nutritious meals for three days.
Each month the food bank supplies a list of items most needed for the parcels.
April’s list is as follows:-
Fruit juice, squash, corned beef, tinned tomatoes, tomato ketchup, brown sauce, instant mashed potato, milk powder, sponge puddings, UHT milk, shaving foam, toilet cleaner, household cleaners (not bleach).
They have enough baked beans, pulses and pasta for the moment, thank you.
Items can be dropped off at the following collection points:
East Harptree - outside the back door of Guy and Gill Stobart ,Church Farm.
West Harptree – outside the door of Sara and John Hall, 8 Ridgeway Close.
Hinton Blewett - outside the door of Judith Hutchins at Greenway Cottage, Litton Lane.
Please consider this when you do your weekly shop and add in an extra item to drop in the boxes when you are taking your daily exercise. All donated items will be taken along to the collection point at Midsomer Norton.
